How to Apply to A&M-Texarkana

How to Apply for University Admissions

Admission to our graduate programs is competitive. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent international bachelor’s degree from and should have demonstrated record of academic success.

The steps of the university admission process are:

  1. Complete online application at www.applytexas.org.
  2. Pay your $30 application fee.
  3. Submit your official college or university transcript(s).  Official transcripts can be hand delivered in a sealed envelope, mailed directly from the issuing college and/or university, or submitted electronically through SPEEDE.  Transcripts should reflect a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
  4. Submit official records confirming bacterial meningitis vaccination or booster to Magnus Health.

**Admission into Texas A&M University-Texarkana does not guarantee admission to a graduate degree program.  All graduate programs have additional admission requirements. 


Full Admission Status

Full admission is available to applicants seeking a degree program with a complete admission application packet on file.  Students must meet all Graduate School and Departmental requirements.

Conditional Admission Status

Conditional admission status is available to applicants seeking a degree program without a complete admission application packet on file.  Students must have official transcripts on file and meet the Graduate School and Departmental GPA requirements.  Graduate program application packet must be submitted by the end of the first semester of enrollment. Completion of the application packet and all requirements on time is the student’s responsibility.

Provisional Admission

Provisional admission is offered to students to enroll for one semester (initial semester of enrollment in the Graduate School) without an official bachelor’s transcript from a regionally accredited institution.  Students accepted provisionally must complete the Graduate Provisional Acceptance Agreement.  Students whose files are not complete during the semester of provisional enrollment will not be permitted to re-enroll or early register until the necessary documents is received and approved.
