The College of Education and Liberal Arts is the largest college in the University and includes programs in liberal arts and education. Currently, students may choose from undergraduate degrees in English, history, political science, mass communications, applied arts and sciences, general studies or interdisciplinary studies. Graduate degrees include adult education, curriculum and instruction, instructional technology, and education administration. CELA also boasts the first cooperative doctoral program in education administration with Texas A&M University-Commerce. In addition, several minors and a variety of teacher certification programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and post graduate levels are available. The recent addition of the lower division core curriculum includes 42 hours, 65% of which is housed in CELA.
