Madrigal Dinner

The A&M-Texarkana Drama Department is hosting Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, a Christmas Madrigal Dinner on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th at 7:30pm at Smokin’ Hot Barbecue (the old Smokey Joe’s).  The address is 5025 W. Park Blvd, Texarkana, TX.

A Madrigal Dinner  an American form of dinner theater.  It is set in the Middle Ages and is generally comedic in nature. The meal is divided into courses, each of which is heralded with a traditional song. A play is performed between the courses and a concert of choral music concludes the festivities.  The music for this play in particular was written and arranged by our own Dr. Brian Billings.

Tickets are available in the Office of Student Life from LouAnn Cole (UC126).  They are $15 each (free for current A&M-Texarkana students) and it includes dinner and the show.

And, again, we will be auctioning off some autographed Broadway items to benefit the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Foundation.

Hope to see you there!
