Q:  How do I access my courses?

A:

 Go to Blackboard at http://blackboard.tamut.edu or by clicking the Blackboard link at the top of the A&M Texarkana home page. Your user name is the first four letters of your last name followed by the last four digits of your campus-wide ID. Your password is your campus-wide ID. Log in and click on your course name. Q: Why can't I log in?

A:

1. How long has it been since you registered? It takes approximately 1 business day for information in Banner to move to Blackboard. Please allow sufficient time to pass.
   
2. Try refreshing your browser cache. Directions on how to do that can be found here: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache

Q: I am logged in but I don’t see my courses. Where are they?

A:

Courses do not become available on Blackboard until about 8:30 am on the first official day of class. Be sure to check the schedule for the start date of your course, as many 7 week courses have different start dates from the regular semester schedule.

If you have just registered for a course, it may take up to 1 business day for your registration information to be added to Blackboard. If the course has officially started and it has been more than one business day since you have registered.

Q  Help! I logged in to my course but all I see is an announcement. I can’t find a link to send my instructor email. What do I do?

A:

It’s likely that your course menu is minimized. On the far left of your screen about half way down, you will see an arrow in a narrow blue margin like the one shown on the left. Click this to expand the menu. You might want to watch the overview video.

Q:  I was taking a test and Blackboard kicked me out. What should I do?

A:

If this is a timed test, immediately try to go back and retake it. Your instructor may have allowed you to continue where you left off in case of this type of situation. The timer continues to run during the time you are away from the test, so do not delay.

If you try to reattempt the test and your instructor has blocked this access, you will need to contact your instructor and have the test reset. This clears all the answers you put into the test; you will need to start from scratch.

Q:  I am taking an untimed test and the instructions state I can save it and return to it later; however, I don’t see a SAVE button. How do I do this?

A:

If the test is offered one question at a time, there is a Save Answer button for each question. Click that button for the current question. Previous questions were automatically saved when you navigated to the next question. Once you click this button it is safe to close your browser or switch to a different course or webpage. When you are ready to finish your test, it will allow you to resume right where you left off.

If the questions are offered all at once, click the SAVE ALL ANSWERS button (not the Save and Submit button) and then navigate away or close the browser. Your answers will be saved and you can return later and resume where you left off.

NOTE: This option does not work for timed tests, because the timer continues to run.

Q:  Is Blackboard Learn available on my mobile device?

A:

The Blackboard Mobile Learn App is currently available for free download on the following devices:

• iPhone®, iPod Touch®, and iPad™
• Android OS devices

To access Texas A&M University - Texarkana, there is an individual license fee of $1.99 per year or $5.99 lifetime. This fee gives you access to the university from all your (same platform) devices; it is not necessary to pay the fee for each device you own.

To download and start using Blackboard Mobile Learn:

1. Search for “Blackboard Mobile Learn” in your App Store or scan the code below:
   
2. Once Blackboard Mobile Learn is installed, search for Texas A & M University - Texarkana using the search bar that automatically appears when you open the app.
3. Select Texas A & M University - Texarkana.
4. Log in using the same username and password you normally use to access Blackboard
