Graduate Studies and Research

Dean's Message

Your educational future begins here!

I am pleased to share with you information about our university, Graduate School and the individual graduate programs we offer. Before you get to the informational part of this document, I wanted to take a minute to let you know that we understand the effort, cost, time and commitment it takes to be a graduate student.

Upon receiving your graduate degree, you will become a member of a very select group of people...less than 1% of all people have a master's degree or higher. This is no small feat.

We work hard to help our graduate students be successful not only in their courses, but also after they graduate and enter, re-enter or continue in the world of work. One of the greatest assets we have at our institution and in our graduate programs is an exceptionally high rate of full-time professors teaching the courses. They have a strong vested interest in your success.

The following pages have been developed to help you make the most informed and best choice regarding your educational future. I encourage you to contact the Office of Graduate Studies and Research at graduate.studies@tamut.edu for more information, help in deciding which degree is right for you, or any other questions you may have along the way.

On behalf of the entire Texas A&M University-Texarkana family, we encourage you to consider us for your graduate studies.

Dr. William (Bill) McHenry, Dean
