Welcome New Eagles!!

Congratulations on your acceptance to A&M-Texarkana.  It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to the ever-growing Eagle Family! I hope that you will join us next semester, and the staff in our office looks forward to meeting you personally very soon!

Students who plan to attend TAMUT are now able to access information for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR).  SOAR currently has two tracks:  New Student Orientation (NSO) or Transfer Student Orientation (TSO). Click the name badge for more information.

New student Orientation Transfer Student Orientation

New Student Orientation \nü stü-dent oer-e-en-ta-shen\ An attendee of NSO is defined as a:

  • Recent high school graduate
  • Student who may have dual credit courses
  • Student who may have taken less than twelve hours of college coursework after high school graduation

Transfer Student Orientation \tran(t)s-fer stü-dent o?r-e-en-ta-shen\ An attendee of TSO is defined as:

  • A student who has taken twelve or more hours of college courseworkafter high school graduation (credit earned in high school {dual credit} does not qualify you as a transfer student)
