Involvement and Engagement

The College of Business, Engineering and Technology at Texas A&M University–Texarkana openly invites the community to engage with the university at all levels including students, faculty, staff, administration and all other stakeholders.   In all courses, the faculty invites community engagement with students through assignments, discussions, site visits, and lectures.  Course materials reflect the applied nature of the College of Business curriculum as is guided and reflected by the mission of the college.

Community engagement occurs through many avenues with the industrial community including speakers, internships, tours, class projects, and student organizations just to name a few.  If you are a member of a company, a community interest group, or have even a personnel interest in finding out about opportunities to engage with the faculty, staff, or students, please do not hesitate to contact us here at the A&M-Texarkana Business, Engineering and Technology.

The faculty is encouraged to develop innovative engagement interactions, and the students are encouraged to participate in community engagement related activities.  These activities fit with the applied nature of the mission of our Business, Engineering and Technology.  The impact on the students is that they see and understand the application of the theories that they are learning in the classroom.  Examples of community engagement activities with the College of Business are provided through the links below.  The links provided on this web page will hopefully encourage you to innovatively think of ways to engage with us to create student focused learning engagement opportunities with you or your company.  If you think of additional opportunities for engagement, we invite you to contact us at the Texas A&M University-Texarkana College of Business,Engineering and Technology.
