Printing

All printing from computers within the library is accomplished through the use of a printing account.  At the beginning of the semester a printing account is automatically created for each new student.  The user name for this account is the CWID# (campus wide id number).  Passwords must be set up at the service desk before printing for the first time.  If you had a printing account the prior semester, the student password remains the same.

Each semester you are enrolled with Texas A&M University-Texarkana, you are allocated a set amount for your printing needs.  This allocation gives free printing for 100 black & white pages, or 20 color pages or a combination of these two print options. This allocation works on a use-it-or-lose-it system; allocated funds do not roll over to the next semester, and your allocation account will be reset to full allotment each new semester.

Once the student allocation account is depleted, there is a cost for printing.  Any money that you add to your printing account will be reflected in your deposit account.  This account is separate from your allocation account, and funds cannot be transferred between accounts.  You may add a minimum of five cents to a maximum of ten dollars to your deposit account and this amount is non-refundable.  Unlike your allocation account, funds in your deposit account do roll over to the next semester.  If a student does not have cash available at the time he needs to print, a credit can be placed on his library record up to a maximum of $5.00.  Forms for this type of account are available at the service desk. Charge accounts must be paid by the end of the semester.
