Texas A&M University-Texarkana MBA Earns Top 5 Spot on GradSource.com

Published: June 14, 2016

Texas A&M University-Texarkana recently received recognition from GradSource.com for its online Master of Business Administration degree.

GradSource.com, a leading education resource website, analyzed nearly 700 online programs against factors that truly matter to prospective students, ranking each school according to a detailed methodology and using data from the National Center for Education Statistics.

GradSource data journalist Kate Rainey evaluated the data against five primary criteria:

  • Affordability based on the in-state average tuition for full-time graduate students and the in-state per credit hour charge for part-time graduate students.
  • Flexibility based on the ratio of part-time to full-time graduate students and the percentage of graduate students enrolled in any distance education courses.
  • Program Prominence based on how many of the master’s degrees awarded in the past three years were from this particular program.
  • Student Success based on the ratio of the number of students receiving master’s or doctoral degrees compared to the total number of graduate students enrolled over three academic years.
  • Related Degrees based on the number of degrees the school offers that are in a similar subject.

“We here in the College of Business at A&M-Texarkana are honored to be included on this list, and consequently, to also be considered as one of the best values in college education,” said Dr. Gary Stading, dean of the College of Business.

“We agree with this assessment because our faculty members deliver a curriculum and an education that can be considered among the elite, and we are doing so at a cost to the student that is truly affordable. We plan to continue to serve the northeast Texas region with these standards in mind. We encourage all students to take advantage of this offer for a high level of quality education at a very reasonable cost.”

The A&M-Texarkana College of Business, which ranked fifth, is noted for its Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration in Energy Leadership.
