A&M-Texarkana to Host 'Living Your Legend' Seminar
Dr. Eric N. Best
Texas A&M University-Texarkana Extended Education and Community Development will present “Living Your Legend: Finding and Doing Work that Actually Excites and Pleases You” featuring Dr. Eric N. Best on Tuesday, April 4, from 6-8 p.m. in Eagle Hall in the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.
Live Your Legend is a new and growing worldwide community network of people who support each other in finding, creating and actually doing work that each person enjoys and feels good about.
In October of 2012, Scott Dinsmore, the founder of Live Your Legend, presented a TEDx talk on “How to Find and Do Work You Love.” The original TEDx video has been viewed by approximately 2 million people, and the Live Your Legend community has grown to about 170,000 members world-wide.
Dr. Best, the Live Your Legend local group leader for the Texarkana region, will give an introduction to the Live Your Legend community network and the resources it offers.
“Perhaps most importantly there will be an introduction to the exciting support it offers you for changing and uplifting your ‘how to make a living’ work life,” Dr. Best said. “You can expect to have both a fun and informative time that is exciting, along with meeting other people with whom you can really resonate. You undoubtedly will meet others who have similar experiences and desires to your own, regarding ‘making a living.’ These are people who will really ‘get you’ in your own desire to have work that pleases you.”
“Living Your Legend: Finding and Doing Work that Actually Excites and Pleases You” is the first seminar in a new LifeSTYLE series presented by A&M-Texarkana Extended Education and Community Development. The program is free and open to the public.
“The LifeSTYLE series came about in response to questions about healthy living, wellness and targeted interests,” said Shelley Caraway, executive director of Extended Education and Community Development. “LifeSTYLE seminars and courses are for those seeking to get the most out of life.”
