Freshman, Business Administration Major
I came to Texas A&M University-Texarkana to study business. My experience as an Eagle has led to my development as a person and a leader on campus. In my University Foundations class I learned how to become a successful student in college. The professors and student body here at A&M-Texarkana truly make me proud to be an Eagle. The students here are so active and involved! I quickly got swept up in the process.
I am a second semester freshman here at A&M- Texarkana, and I am involved in the Resident Hall Association and clubs and organizations such as the Accounting Club, Student Veterans Association, Business Club and more. I joined the fraternity Phi Lambda Chi, and they have already accepted me as one of their own brothers. The students really get involved in the day to day of the campus.
This school truly has helped me develop into a leader. I attended Heart of a Leader training this spring. My coach always said, “What doesn’t challenge you won’t change you.” I am a first-floor representative in the Resident Hall Association, and I am also on the Health and Safety Committee. There is such an opportunity to voice your ideas or concerns on campus.
Currently I am a Business Administration major with a concentration in marketing; however, I’m considering a double major in Accounting. I am employed as a Pep Mentor by the school and I also do work-study at the front desk in Bringle Lake Village. I plan to graduate in May 2019. Go Eagles!
