SOAR is an exciting first step to becoming part of the Eagle Family.
SOAR is REQUIRED for ALL new students entering the university. Students must be admitted to Texas A&M University-Texarkana and received a notice of acceptance from
the Office of Admissions before making reservations to attend SOAR. You will learn about Fun, creative, and informative sessions that will be lead by students. We'll discuss everything from student engagement, campus activities, intramural sports and academics. You will have an opportunity to speak with the administration, faculty and staff, as well as learn about campus clubs and organizations.
Make plans to attend one of the SOAR Orientation sessions to:
- Meet other students and make new friends
- Meet with an academic adviser and discuss classes and majors
- Complete course selections and registration
- Learn about academic expectations
- Learn about the University’s services and resources
- Familiarize yourself with the campus
What are the dates for Fall 2012 semester?
Fall 2012 SOAR dates are:
First-Year Students: (2012 high school graduates)
Registration is $100 per student.
Thurs/Fri June 14-15th (1pm)Thurs/Fri June 21-22nd (1pm)

Friday, August 24th (9am-3pm)*
*Recommended for students traveling further than 200 milesTransfer/Non-Traditional Students:
Registration is $65 per student.

Saturday (July 21st) 11am - 3pm
Thursday (August 2nd) 4pm - 8pm
Off Site Dates:

Guest Registration is $25 per guest
SOAR is REQUIRED for ALL New Undergraduate Students who have been accepted to the University.
