Online Standards

Drafted in 2011 by the Online Education Advisory Committee in response to SACSCOC and THECB requirements for "clear criteria for the evaluation of faculty teaching distance education courses and programs", the following document was adopted by the A3C in 2011 as Texas A&M University-Texarkana's Online Course Standards:

This document is based in small part on the policies and best practices recommended by SACSCOC in the following documents:

SACSCOC Distance and Correspondence Education Policy Statement

SACSCOC Best Practices for Electronically Offered Degree and Certification Programs

and on the guidelines we are held responsible for according to Texas Administrative Code Chapter 4, Subchapter P, Rule §4.260: Standards and Criteria for Institutions, which states that we must adhere to the criteria outlined in THECB's Principles of Good Practice for Degree and Certificate Programs and Courses Offered Through Distance Education, attached below:
