Student Support

The faculty and staff at Texas A&M University-Texarkana are dedicated to helping students achieve academic success in every area, and two centers on campus support this mission:  The Success Center and The Advising Center.  The purpose of the Success Center is to promote student success by providing academic support services to students, offering tutorials and study strategies to enhance students’ academic success. Students have access to a computer lab to write papers, perform research, and complete academic tutorials in several disciplines. The Advising Center oversees the advisement of all students who have not completed their core requirements, as well as assisting students with the adjustment to college life, helping with course selection and scheduling , and monitoring students’ academic progress, as needed. 

We also strive to support our students in other areas, like our “First Year Experience”, Disability Services, and Career Services to ensure that students not only live here but thrive during their stay and after they graduate.
