Apply for Housing

Please be aware that Texas A&M University - Texarkana has Housing and Meal Plan requirements with which all potential students should be familiar.

The following information should be helpful to you regarding any questions you have about the housing application and assignment process here at Texas A&M University - Texarkana.

Rooms are assigned based on the date the housing application and fee* are received. It is always a good idea to apply early if you have a particular room that you prefer. Some spaces traditionally fill up faster than others.

Roommates will be assigned for students who do not have someone listed. Roommates will be matched based on the compatibility section of the housing application. It is highly recommended that if you want a certain roommate you complete the section that states roommate request and you both select the same room choice. If you would like to be placed with someone in the same degree field or athletic team, please state this information on your housing application.

MOVE-IN Day for Fall 2023:

Freshmen - Thursday, August 24th
Upperclassmen - Saturday, August 26th

Residence Hall Contract 23-24 (Please read before completing the housing application. All new residents will be required to sign a contract prior to occupancy.)
Housing Application - a non-refundable application fee of $100* is required to be submitted with this application.

*For students who demonstrate a financial need or who are international students, we have a process in place that allows a student to apply for deferral of the $100 Housing Application Fee. If approved, the application fee will be billed to the student's account and will be payable by the first day of classes while still allowing students to apply for housing.
