Peace and Justice Psychology Lab

The Peace and Justice Psychology Lab (PJPL) is the experimental psychology lab of Dr. Dana Leighton, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Texas A&M University—Texarkana. The laboratory studies human cognition in the social domain: what we think about our selves and each other. More specifically, the lab is organized to study intergroup relations, or the ways individuals identifying as members of a group perceive and respond to individuals in other groups. This includes such psychological processes as stereotyping and prejudice. We also study political psychology, the psychology of jury selection, and Facebook use among other topics.

The PJPL is always interested in bright, motivated students who want to be part of psychological science. To apply to be part of the laboratory, please email Dr. Dana Leighton with your name and what interests you in the work of the lab.
