Biography

Dr. Farraj received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Dr. Farraj currently teaches Electrical Engineering courses at the RELLIS Campus. Dr. Farraj is a Fulbright Scholar, a Professional Engineer in Ontario, and a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Dr. Farraj’s current research interests include investigating the security and resilience aspects of critical infrastructure, IT/OT, IoT, and industrial control systems; modeling and analysis of cyber-physical systems; studying the stability, integration, and optimization of smart power grids.

Scholarship & Creative Activity

Dr. Farraj’s recent research activities have concentrated on the design and analysis of cyber-physical systems, with a primary focus on cybersecurity and resilience in the integration of physical, sensing and monitoring, information, communication, signal processing, and control systems. Recently, he focused on security of Internet of Things (IoT).
