Curriculum and Instruction
I serve as an instructor for courses in our undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation programs. I also serve as a university field supervisor for students completing clinical experiences in area schools.
Previously, I worked as an educator in P-12 schools serving the special education population master reading skills. I am certified to teach in the States of Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Indiana.
I completed my Ed.D. in Education Leadership in 2022 from TAMUT
Masters in Educational Administration in 2010 with Principal certification from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
Master of Education in 1999 with certification in Mentally/Physically Handicapped Teaching from California University of Pennsylvania
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, California University of Pennsylvania 1985
I enjoy teaching our offerings in teacher preparation and over the past ten years I have taught a variety of courses in our undergraduate and graduate programs. My favorite part of teaching is working with teacher candidates in the field work as they complete their clinical experiences in teaching. It is delightful to watch students grow into competent educators.
Members of our teacher preparation team were awarded the Chancellors Academy for Teaching Educators. I was honored to be a part of the team awarded this honor in recognition for our impact on the preparation of teachers in March 2023.
I am a member of the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma an honorary society for key women educators. I also serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Miller County and am a member of the Texas Directors of Field Experience.
