Instructor of Supply Chain Management (SCM) Fall 2020 - present: Mr Bentley’s teaching portfolio includes SCM principles, fundamentals & strategies; data analytics, modeling and optimization; and, management/optimization of production and operations, procurement, inventory & supplier networks. The course roster also included a general business and economics course. The use of experiential learning, practical case studies, simulations, state-of-the-art materials, resources and technologies are employed to enhance career readiness and early employability for students. He is a current member of the Strategic Planning Committee and has served on the Search Committees for the CBET Dean and the Executive Director for The Center for Financial Literacy & Investments.
At the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Mr. Bentley’s career profile included; Assistant Director – Electronic Media Division (1981-82); Director – Systems Conversion Department (1982-85); Analyst/Director – Data Analysis & SCM Support (1985-1989). New opportunities developed in international foreign exchange, leading to these positions; FX-Derivatives Portfolio Manager – Frankwell Investment Services (1993-96). Managing Partner - Global Strategic Financial Group: FX Derivatives Trading & SCM Operations (1996-2007). Pursued an academic career after divesting ownership interest. In academia, he taught at the University of Houston-Downtown as a Lecturer in Supply Chain Management & Finance; Corporate Fellow in the MBA program, and currently serves as an Instructor in the Supply Chain Management Program at CBET-TAMUT (2020 -present).
