Loan Conditions

Students must check that they have read and meet ALL the loan conditions listed below:

I understand that installment payment plans are available for Fall and Spring no payment plans for summer sessions). I further acknowledge that if the emergency loan does not cover the full amount owed and I have no additional resources to cover the remaining balance, that a payment plan would be necessary to prevent me from being dropped from classes.

Installment Payment Plan (4 installment payments of 1/4 total tuition & fees each)

To sign up for a payment plan:

Log on to "Web for Students"

Click on "Touch Net Payment Gateway"

Click on box “Click for Current Account Status”

Click on Tab at the top “Enroll in a Payment Plan” and follow the instructions

The installment payment plan is available for Fall and Spring terms. Please contact the Fiscal Office at (903) 223-1354 for information on the Installment Payment Plan.

A student making an installment payment after the due date shall also pay a late payment fee; each installment payment
must be received at the university Business Office by the due date specified in the installment payment plan agreement.

$25.00 delinquent fee added if payment is not received by the due date.

I understand that I must meet the following requirements before applying for this loan:
(1) All of my official transcripts are on file in the Admissions Office
(2) I am in good standing with A&M-Texarkana.
All loan conditions will be checked before the loan will be
processed or credited to your student account.

I understand that I must also meet the minimum GPA requirement to apply for this loan: Undergraduate: 2.00 or Graduate: 3.00

I understand that I must pay a 10 dollar origination fee to the Business Office on the date this loan is issued.

I understand that if I do not repay my loan, or fail to make any installment payment on or before the scheduled date(s), I may be withdrawn from the University.

I agree to notify the Financial Aid Office of any changes in my status, (financial, academic, address, etc.) during the period of my outstanding indebtedness.

I will contact the Financial Aid Office (or Business Office) before the scheduled date of any payment if I find myself having difficulty in making the payment on time.

I understand that if I withdraw from A&M-Texarkana, the loan is due in full and payable immediately, and a receipt from the Business Office must be presented to the Financial Aid Office to clear my account.

I authorize the Financial Aid Office to release any information concerning my records at A&M-Texarkana to any Federal/State Institution or local organization necessary for the administration of my emergency loan.

I understand that my loan must be repaid according to my installment plan due dates.

I understand that any remaining balance after the application of the emergency loan must be made by the tuition due date each semester in order to remain enrolled and not be dropped for non-payment.

Loan Agreement

1. I promise to pay Texas A&M University-Texarkana all sums disbursed under the terms of this Master Promissory Note, plus interest and other charges and fees that may become due as provided in this Note.

2. I am requesting an emergency tuition loan in the amount of:
$1500.00 Maximum loan amount
Loan amount requested: $ for total tuition under $1500.00. (May not be less than 25% of the total charge owed if payment plan selected)

3. This note requires a 10 dollar origination fee and is payable in full on the date the loan is issued.

4. The loan is payable in full within 90 days during the Fall or Spring semester and within 60 days during a 6-week (or summer) session.

5. The borrower will be responsible for all attorney's fees and other costs and charges necessary for the collection of any amount not paid when due.
