Texas A&M University-Texarkana Network Outage

Our (ISP) NETnet has warned us of upcoming network maintenance
February 15, 2013, shortly after 5:00 PM this will affect ALL access to our network systems.

“We’re in the process of upgrading the connection between Suddenlink and the NETnet hub in order to allow access to many of your sites at gig speeds in the near future and to increase our Internet capacity. This will require changing out the primary switch between the hub and the downtown Tyler Suddenlink location and will interrupt NETnet’s Internet service. Suddenlink is estimating an approximate 20-minute outage but as a precaution we are recommending schools prepare for up to 1 hour of disrupted service somewhere between 5:00 and 6:30 pm. “

We should only be down for a minimum amount of time.
