Texas A&M University-Texarkana Planting First Tree in New Memorial Garden on Friday

On Friday, May 1, Texas A&M University-Texarkana will plant the first tree in the new Memorial Garden on campus at 10:00 a.m.  Every detail of this event, including the type of tree, the bench, and memorial plaque, was organized by the ladies of the Omega Delta Chi Sorority. 

This tree will be planted in memory of Sofia George, Daniel Gonzalez, and Nathaniel Rodriguez, the A&M-Texarkana students that were killed in a car accident last November.  The memorial garden and ceremony Friday will be located on the west side of the campus, after entering the main entrance, by the pond and bridge.
