A&M-Texarkana to Host “The Economics Cabaret”
Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host “The Economics Cabaret” on Friday, Feb. 26, at 5 p.m. in the Eagle Lounge on the first floor of the University Center, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas. The event is sponsored by the Program for Learning and Community Engagement (PLACE) at A&M-Texarkana.
The cabaret features songs from the 20th century that focus upon money and economics. The singers include Lauren Ort, April Phillips, Katharae Patterson and Ellen Allard. Director is Dr. Brian C. Billings.
PLACE is a faculty-led program designed to create a community of learners comprising A&M-Texarkana students, faculty, staff and the community at large.
PLACE chooses an annual theme around which to organize a lecture series and other activities that provide focal points for learning and discussion. This year’s theme is “Economic Opportunity.”
