Success Center Spring 2016 Workshop Schedule to Feature ‘Star Wars’ Theme
The Success Center at Texas A&M University-Texarkana has announced its spring 2016 schedule of workshops and seminars. The spring semester theme is “Jedi Training,” which is based on the epic space film series “Star Wars.”
The “Jedi Training” schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Feb. 4 – “Train Smarter, Not Harder,” 12 p.m., University Center 210
Thursday, Feb. 18 – “A Jedi Never Cheats,” 12 p.m., University Center 210
Thursday, March 3 – “Crazy Old Ben (Obi-Wan) Proofreads and Revises,” 12 p.m. University Center 210 and 6 p.m., University Center 330
March 24 – “The Darkside and Math,” 12 p.m., University Center 210 and 6 p.m., University Center 330
April 7 – “Google Yoda Loves,” 12 p.m., University Center 210
April 21 – “Healthy Habits for Padawans,” 12 p.m., University Center 210
May 4 – “May the 4th be with You,” all day, University Center 330
“The Success Center is honored to be selected by Master Yoda to be the newest Jedi Training quarters in the Galaxy. Young Padawans will participate in various trainings throughout the spring semester commanded by elite Jedi instructors with a millennia of experience,” said Success Center Coordinator Anthony Arton.
“Padawans who attend and actively participate in the trainings will be awarded full Jedi privileges at the end of the semester on May the 4th in the Success Center. The top recruits will also be awarded with their very own light saber. We look forward to hosting our first inaugural class of Padawans at ‘Train Smarter, Not Harder’ on Feb. 4.”
Lunch will be served. Jedi attire is encouraged.
