Eagles to Represent at Fox Fan Fest on Aug. 20
The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles, along with area high school teams, will be on hand for the third annual Fox Sports Radio 1400AM Fan Fest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center. A&M-Texarkana is a presenting sponsor of the event.
The event will feature band and spirit squad performances, team introductions and a Fox Sports 1400AM Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Admission is free courtesy of Fox Sports Radio 1400AM.
A&M-Texarkana coaches and players will be introduced at the event and interviewed on the radio throughout the day.
Vendors include dozes of athletic and band booster clubs, gyms and fitness centers, healthcare institutions, and area businesses and industries.
High school bands will perform in McLarty Ford Band Land at the following times:
- 10:30-11 a.m. – Pleasant Grove High School Band
- 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. – Texas High School Band
- 12:30-1 p.m. – Arkansas High School Band
- 1:30-2 p.m. – Liberty Eylau High School Band
- 2:30-3 p.m. – Atlanta High School Band
High school football and American Legion baseball teams will be introduced on the Main Stage as follows:
- 10 a.m. – Red River Credit Union Texarkana American Legion Team
- 11 a.m. – Pleasant Grove High School Football Team
- 12 p.m. – Texas High School Football Team
- 1 p.m. –Arkansas High School Football Team
- 2 p.m. – Liberty Eylau Team Football Team
- 3 p.m. – Atlanta High School Football Team
There will be a Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 4 p.m. on the Main Stage.
