A&M-Texarkana to Host Global Education Luncheon
The Office of International Studies and the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host a Global Education Luncheon: A Look at Hong Kong on Thursday, Sept. 15, at noon in the third floor atrium of the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.
Dr. Lo Sin Kai, dean of the Graduate School at Education University of Hong Kong, will share information on potential academic collaborations between students and faculty at A&M-Texarkana and EdUHK. A discussion concerning opportunities for EdUHK students to attend A&M-Texarkana and resources available in the community will also take place.
“Gaining international perspectives in education is vital to the pursuit of A&M-Texarkana’s mission of preparing students to serve in a global environment,” said Jennifer Felps, director of International Studies at A&M-Texarkana. “Hosting this luncheon is a great opportunity for our community members to gain a global education perspective from a premier higher education institute in Hong Kong.”
A publicly funded institution dedicated to the advancement of teaching and learning, EdUHK ranked second in Asia and 12th in the world in education in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject in 2016.
The luncheon is open to students, faculty, staff and community members who are interested in International Studies programs at A&M-Texarkana.
