A&M-Texarkana to Host Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Speaker

The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Campus Activities Board and Phi Lambda Chi fraternity will host mindset expert and acclaimed TEDx speaker Pina de Rosa for a Date Rape Awareness and Sexual Assault Prevention program on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. in Eagle Hall of the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus.

The event is open to the public and required for Bringle Lake Village residents, freshmen, students in Greek organizations and student athletes. Students are asked to bring their student ID cards as attendance will be recorded.

Topics covered during the seminar include the following:

• A step-by-step guide to making powerful choices
• How to feel both safe and empowered
• How to create limits and boundaries
• How to step up and look out for one another
• Let's end this epidemic once and for all
