Chalk the Walk Block Party to Feature Jason Helms Band

Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s 2016 Homecoming Week fun will get underway Monday, Sept. 26, with a Chalk the Walk block party featuring the Jason Helms Band of Texarkana. The block party will start at 6 p.m. on the University Center lawn. The event is free and open to the public.
The Jason Helms Band is a country band from the southwest Arkansas/east Texas area led by singer-songwriter Jason Helms. The band has played shows with many musical luminaries, including Merle Haggard, Wynonna Judd, Lee Ann Womack, Mark Chessnut, Randy Rogers, Reckless Kelly, Bruce Robison, Brandon Jenkins, Rio Grand, Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence, Justin Moore, Joe Nichols, Bomshel and Rich O'Toole.
