'The Power of Economic Incentives in Shaping Our History' University Honors Colloquium is Oct. 4

Dr. Richard Parsons, Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, will present a University Honors Colloquium titled “The Power of Economic Incentives in Shaping Our History” on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 12:15 p.m. in University Center 217 on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.
In his presentation, Dr. Parsons will review some of the economic forces that have shaped U.S. history, including the profit incentive, labor shortage, excess land and others.
“We will find patterns in these events that will allow us to surmise how the major economic forces of today may impact our future,” Dr. Parsons said.
The colloquium is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
