Eagle Open House set for Saturday at A&M-Texarkana
The fall 2016 Eagle Open House for prospective students is set for Saturday, Oct. 8, at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.
Registration is from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. on the first floor of the University Center.
Following is the schedule of events:
10:15-10:30 a.m. – Welcome - Eagle Hall, University Center
10:30-11 a.m. – Overview of Academic Colleges - Eagle Hall
11-11:50 a.m. – First Year Experience, Advising, TRiO Student Support Services, Admissions - Eagle Hall
11:50 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Lunch and Exhibit Hall
12:30-1:05 p.m. – Breakout Sessions I
1:10-1:45 p.m. – Breakout Sessions II
1:50-2:25 p.m. – Breakout Sessions III
2:30-3 p.m. – Door Prizes/Closing - Eagle Hall
Breakout sessions will focus on majors in the College of Education and Liberal Arts; College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics; and College of Business. There also will be sessions on the University Honors program, transferring to A&M-Texarkana, financial aid and scholarships, and student life.
The exhibit hall will be open from 11:45 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. Each participant will have a customized itinerary for the day.
