A&M-Texarkana’s Got Talent is Friday Night

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host its third annual A&M's Got Talent competition Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. in Eagle Hall of the University Center, 7101 University Avenue, Texarkana, Texas. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
Ten talented A&M-Texarkana students were selected in a preliminary competition to compete in the final round on Friday. The winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
The winners are determined by audience vote (50 percent) and judges’ score (50 percent).
This year's contestants are Josh Elrod, Jalen Turner, Marina Garza, Shalese Mitchell, Eddie Brackens, Alana Briley and Malik Tucker, Hannah McClain, Jose Torres and Savanna Martin.
The celebrity judges’ panel will include Mark Missildine, Alumni Relations Coordinator, Dr. Craig Nakashian, Associate Professor of History, Ross Morrill, Head Chef, Chartwell’s Campus Dining, and Jordan Logan, Eagles Athletics Business Manager.
“I am always amazed at the level of talent displayed by our students at this event,” said Celeste McNiel, Director of Student Life. “Year after year, this one is a very special one to me. Our students are our best resource and it is so fun to give them a chance to showcase their abilities in this type of venue.”
A&M’s Got Talent will be emceed by comedian contortionist Jonathan Burns. The event is free and open to the public.
