Proceeds from Eagle Club Event Donated to A&M-Texarkana for Athletic Scholarships

Texas A&M University-Texarkana students continue to benefit from the generosity of area scholarship donors.

During an A&M-Texarkana Eagle Club drawdown fundraiser in February, Buddy and Carolyn Allen of Texarkana, Texas, the winning ticket holders, received an opportunity to donate $15,000 in event proceeds back to the Eagles athletic program and have a one-time scholarship named in their honor.

“The student-athletes of A&M-Texarkana are honored to have the support of so many generous scholarship donors and athletic program supporters,” said Michael Galvan, director of athletics. “These scholarships are changing students’ lives and will continue to have a positive impact as they graduate from the university and pursue their careers.”

The Eagle Club is the official athletics booster club of Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
