A&M-Texarkana and ABOTA to Host Teachers Law School

Texas A&M University-Texarkana and the East Texas Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) will host a Teachers Law School professional development workshop on Tuesday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Eagle Hall of the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.

The ABOTA Foundation’s Teachers Law School program is designed for middle and high school educators with an interest in prioritizing civics and law-related education in the classroom.

Topics for the workshop will include “Cyber Bullying in Schools,” “Influence of Media in Public Schools” and other related issues.

There is no charge for the workshop.

“We look forward to a great day learning from professors at A&M-Texarkana about relevant issues in public schools and the best way to engage our students in the conversation,” said Dr. Abbie Strunc, assistant professor of education at A&M-Texarkana. “It will be a wonderful day with presentations and comments from local attorneys and judges.”
