2017 Homecoming Glow/Costume 5K Fun Run/Walk is Friday the 13th

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will sponsor a Glow/Costume 5K Fun Run/Walk on Friday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. during the 2017 Homecoming Week celebration.

The event is open to the public and will begin at the University Center on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.

Participants should arrive on campus by 7:30 p.m., as the university will close the parking lot for runners.

Registration is $15 per person. All participants who register in advance will receive a T-shirt and LED head lamp.

There will be a lighted path along the route, as well as stations where participants will be sprayed with safe, washable UV reactive glow paint as they run/walk the course. There will be a black-light photo opportunity at the end of the course.

“The event is ideal for families and a great, fun way to do something active on a Friday night,” said Celeste McNiel, director of Student Life.
