Texas A&M University-Texarkana Announces 2017 Homecoming Week Events
Texas A&M University-Texarkana is gearing up for a fun-filled 2017 Homecoming Week, beginning Monday, Oct. 9, and ending Saturday, Oct. 14, with the Eagles women’s and men’s soccer matches against Louisiana State University Alexandria, beginning at 3 p.m. at Eagle Field on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.
The A&M-Texarkana Alumni Association has two special events planned during Homecoming Week—the 2017 Eagle Roundup: A Community Celebration of Distinguished Alumni and Faculty on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. and the 2017 Eagle Chili Fest and Tailgate from 12-3 p.m. on game day, Oct. 14, on the Eagle Lawn next to the University Center.
“We’re always excited to welcome the community to A&M-Texarkana and look forward to having our many friends and alumni on campus throughout the week,” said Dr. Emily Cutrer, president of A&M-Texarkana. “Gathering with friends of this great university to cheer for our soccer teams is a terrific way to spend an early fall Saturday afternoon and evening. “We would love to see everyone join in the homecoming week fun and come out to Eagle Field for the homecoming games,” McNiel said. “We are so grateful to be a part of the Texarkana community and to have the support of the citizens and businesses of the region.”
