Beekeeping Course a Hit During Spring Break
It may have been spring break at TAMUT but someone forgot to tell area gardeners! Last Monday on March 12, more than 30 people showed up for the free monthly seminar introducing them to beekeeping. Held the 2nd Monday of each month, the gardening seminars are a collaboration between TAMUT and the Bowie County Master Gardeners.
Mr. James Lamb is a master gardener and renowned beekeeper and his topic was all the buzz. Many of those in attendance are new to beekeeping while others have international ties to the bee community. One attendee shared that his son keeps bees in China! Based on the size of the audience and interest in the topic, there will be a lot more beekeepers in the 4 states area soon.
