TAMUT Fall 2019 Honor Graduates
Texas A&M University-Texarkana held its 2019 fall commencement ceremony on Friday, December 16th. A capacity crowd in the university’s Lois & Cary Patterson Student Center watched 191 A&M-Texarkana Students receive their degrees. The degrees conferred included 5 doctoral degrees, 42 master’s degrees, and 144 bachelor’s degrees.
Texas A&M University System Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs Phillip Ray addressed the graduates and guests on behalf of the Texas A&M University System and A&M-Texarkana President Dr. Emily Cutrer conferred the degrees. Among the 191 students who received degrees in December were 37 students who graduated with honors. Honor graduates are determined by grade point average and divided into three categories, Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude.
The fall 2019 Summa Cum Laude (GPA 3.9-4.0) graduates are Catherine Allison Haley, Hayden Wright Hemperley, Sarah Jayne Ingram, Erin Elizabeth Spencer, and Amber Nichole Stylianou.
The fall 2019 Magna Cum Laude (GPA 3.75-3.89) graduates include Mariana Barboza, Christy Faniece Coleman, Hannah Brianne Cooper, Katharine Faye Crutcher, Alyssa Claire Davis, Mary Lynn Ferguson, Esmalia Molina, Joshua Andrew Sciara, Bayley Maclaye Sullivan, Anthony Kirk Sterling, Cindy M. Teo, Joshua Noel Wattigny, and Mariah A. Webb.
The fall Cum Laude (GPA 3.5-3.74) graduates are Carlos Sebastian Aguirre Verduga, Oralia Guadalupe Basurto-Ruiz, Kimberly Ann Blankenship, Melonie D'Lane Chamness, Jeff William Crabtree, Jr., Brandy Nicole Dobbs, Tara Danielle Gilbert, Dalton Brady Hinton, Kayla Marie Mahan, William Thomas Mayfield, Jr., Antonio Lashone Mcclain, Ryan Edward Nash, Bobbie Jean Player, Alexander Serrano, Alicia Anne Shumake, Sydnie LaDean Smith, Hershel Dean Stroman, Jacob B. Watson, and Christopher Lavaughn Worthey.
