TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas A&M University-Texarkana and JCM Industries, Inc. have formed a new academic partnership that will allow JCM employees to take courses at the university at a discounted rate. The partnership was officially launched with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on May 28, 2024, on the Texas A&M University-Texarkana campus.

“We are pleased to announce that we have added JCM Industries to our growing list of community partners at Texas A&M University-Texarkana,” said A&M-Texarkana President Dr. Ross Alexander. “Their attention to detail and high standards for both their products and their employees has made them a national and global solutions provider in the pipe and fitting industry. We are thrilled to help their dedicated employees reach their academic goals and further their careers.”

“JCM Industries has always supported the education of our employees to better their lives and careers,” said JCM Industries CEO John Collins. “The partnership with Texas A&M Texarkana will allow the flexibility and resources for JCM and its employees to grow and adapt to our fast-paced business environment.”

“JCM Industries is excited to have the opportunity to partner with Texas A&M – Texarkana,” said Mattison Carter, Human Resources Manager for JCM Industries. “This partnership will open the door for our employees to complete or continue their education at an affordable cost. We are so grateful for the resource that Texas A&M University - Texarkana is for our community.”

Under the new academic partnership all full-time employees of JCM Industries will receive a discount on all undergraduate, graduate, certificate, or micro-credential programs delivered in-person, online, or through a hybrid format. The agreement also waives the standard application fee. In addition to the tuition discount, any eligible employee who is a new student at the university will receive the First Flight Scholarship, which gives the new student their first class free if they are enrolled in at least 6 hours at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Employees wishing to take advantage of the new partnership must meet the admissions standards of the program to which they apply and must remain in good academic standing.
