Exams We Offer
Students can schedule their exams at the Texas A&M University–Texarkana Testing Center by arranging an appointment in advance to ensure availability.
Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS)
Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS) is an online assessment and learning tool that helps identify what students know and what they still need to learn. Using adaptive technology, ALEKS creates a personalized learning path so students can focus on the right topics at the right time. It is commonly used in university courses such as mathematics, chemistry, and statistics to support student learning and success.
ACT On-Campus (Formerly ACT Residual)
The ACT On-Campus exam is identical in content and format to the National ACT. The ACT On-Campus differs from the National ACT in that the scores are reported ONLY to Texas A&M University-Texarkana Admissions Office. If you are a prospective student and are unsure which institution of higher learning you wish to attend, it would be to your advantage to register for a date to take the National ACT instead.
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Students may earn some course credit by demonstrated achievement on standardized tests such as the Advanced Placement Program (AP) and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Official Advanced Placement (AP) and CLEP scores should be sent to the office of admissions for review and to award credit for those subject areas in which the minimum score required has been achieved. Course equivalencies for exams can be found in the academic catalog at: Undergraduate Credit By Exam < Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Course equivalent credit and elective credit for new exams, such as AP Business with Personal Finance and AP Cybersecurity, will be updated in the 2025-26 catalog.
