Ysamar Tineo is a first-generation Dominican American student at A&M-Texarkana. She is a sophomore political science major, who plans to attend law school, so that she can become a representative or politician.
Being a first-generation Dominican American, she dedicates her academic journey to her parents, and she wants to make their dreams come true. We know that this is only the beginning for Ysamar. We can't wait to see all the amazing things that she will accomplish while at A&M-Texarkana.
My name is Alan and I'm a junior at Texas A&M University - Texarkana! I was accepted in A&M's Nursing Program and am currently in the Spring 2023 cohort. My dream has always been to be an obstetrician and work with pregnant women and babies. I plan to use my Bachelor of Science in Nursing to apply to Medical School and obtain my Medical Doctorate.
Alan picked A&M-Texarkana because it's close to home, and because it offers so much. He loves the small classroom to professor ratio because it allows him to have personable relationships with the faculty. Alan is a phenomenal TRIO student leader, and we can't wait to see what he will accomplish.
