Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Prepare to make a meaningful difference in mental healthcare by pursuing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification. Can I find my own clinical rotation site?
As an A&M-Texarkana Nurse Practitioner student, clinical placement is guaranteed. If you have a desired preceptor in mind, you can discuss it with faculty.
How many clinical hours are required?
You’ll complete 780 clinical hours in the last four semesters of the program.
Can I work during the program?
There are no restrictions regarding working while in the program. However, it will be important to manage your work and clinical hours carefully.
How often will I need to come to campus?
Most of your courses will require you to come to campus only three times a semester. These on-campus dates are the same for all your courses during the semester and always fall on a Friday.
