Wifi Instructions Overview

Welcome to Eagle Wi-Fi, Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s brand new wireless network! Eagle Wi-Fi allows Students, Faculty, and Staff to connect to a secure, encrypted network, while allowing guests to connect to an open network throughout campus.

Eagle Wi-Fi supports all operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux, Chromebooks, and more.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting your iOS devices to Eagle Wi-Fi.

Supported Versions

The Eagle Wi-Fi ES supports the iOS versions 2.0, and later.

How to Connect to Eagle Wi-Fi

Follow the step below to connect to Eagle Wi-Fi. During this process, you will enter information as requested, and make selections about user type, device type, etc.

User Prompts

This section displays the user prompts for a typical enrollment workflow. The sequence of steps for the enrollment differs, depending on access type selected. 

  • See Steps 1 through 12 for Students, Faculty, and Staff Access.
  • See Steps 1a through 7a for Guest Access.

Students, Faculty and Staff Access:

STEP 1. Turn on Wi-Fi
Go to Settings, turn on Wi-Fi

STEP 2: Select Eagle WiFi
All users must select the Eagle WiFi option to proceed.

STEP 3. Welcome Screen
Read and Agree to Terms & Conditions. Tap Start to continue.

User Type

STEP 4. User Type Prompt
Select the user type to continue. This example follows the Employee workflow branch.

User Credentials

STEP 5. User Credential Prompt
Enter your EagleID credentials and tap Continue.

Install Profile
You are prompted to install the network profile on the device.

STEP 6. Install Profile
Tap Install to continue.

Enter passcode
If prompted, enter device passcode to install the profile.

STEP 7. Enter Passcode
Continue with profile installation.

Install Root CA
The Wi-Fi profile includes the root CA. Other certificates might be required by your network.

STEP 8. Install Root CA
Tap Install to continue.

Confirm Install Profile
Confirm the profile installation.

STEP 9. Confirm Install Profile
Tap Install to continue.

Profile installed
The Wi-Fi has been installed when you receive this confirmation page.

STEP 10. Profile Installed
Tap Done to continue.

Join Wireless Network
The Wi-Fi configuration page displays the instructions for connecting to the secure network.

STEP 11. Join Wireless Network
Go to your home screen and tap the Settings to connect to the secure network.

View Profile
In the Settings > General tab, you can view the profile for the secure network.

STEP 12. View General Profile
Tap the Wi-Fi tab to continue.

Connect to Secure Network
Select the network listed on the Wi-Fi configuration screen.

STEP 13. Connected to Secure Network
The user should be connected to the secure network.


Guest Access

STEP 1a. Turn on Wi-Fi
Go to Settings, turn on Wi-Fi

STEP 2a. Select Eagle Wi-Fi
All users must select the Eagle WiFi option to proceed.

STEP 3a. Go to http://neverssl.com The Ruckus WISPR policy will then redirect to https://cloudpath.tamut.edu

STEP 4a. Welcome Screen
An acceptable use policy (AUP) prompt displays a message and requires that the user signal acceptance to continue. Tap Start to continue.

User Type

STEP 5a. User Type Prompt
Select the user type to continue. This example follows the Guest Access workflow branch.
Enter Phone Number

STEP 6a. Cell Phone Number Prompt
Enter Cell Phone number to receive verification code via TXT message.

Verification Code Prompt

STEP 7a. Enter Verification Code
Enter verification code in verification code box. Verification code is case sensitive. Tap Continue.
User is connected to Eagle Wi-Fi via Guest Access

STEP 8a. Connection Established
The user should be connected to Eagle Wi-Fi.
