Are You Ready for Registration?

Complete these checklist items in bold to ensure you’re ready to register for classes:

Satisfy College Readiness Requirements (Meet TSI Requirements) All new students must satisfy the TSI College Readiness Requirements for Reading, Writing, and Math. Ways to satisfy this requirement:

  • You’ve completed college-level english and math courses with a letter grade of “C” or better.
  • Your ACT composite score is at least 23, with a 19 on the English portion to exempt you from Reading and Writing and/or a 19 on the Mathematics portion to exempt you from math.
  • Your SAT is a minimum score of 480 on the Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing test to exempt you from both the reading and writing portions. A minimum score of 530 on the Math test exempts you from the Math portion.
  • Your score for the STARR End-of-Course is a minimum Level 2 score of 4000 on the English III to exempt you from reading and writing, and a minimum Level 2 score of 4000 on the Algebra II to exempt you from the mathematics portion.
  • You have graduated with an associate or baccalaureate degree from an institution of higher education.
  • You are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
  • You have taken the TSI-Assessment in all areas and have scores for placement.
  • If you do not meet any of the requirements above, you will need to TSI prior to meeting with an academic advisor and completing registration. Schedule your TSI test here.

Study and complete the ALEKS exam if required by your major. You will need to complete ALEKS if you have selected one of the following majors: chemistry, chemistry education, computer science, electrical engineering, math, math education, or mechanical engineering. (Note: Satisfy TSI before moving forward with the ALEKS placement exam.)
