About Anita and Truman Arnold
Drs. Anita and Truman Arnold have built their lives rooted around service, entrepreneurship, and a deep commitment to the Texarkana community. Through their leadership in business, philanthropy, and civic engagement, they have helped shape the region they call home.
In 1964, Truman founded the original Arnold family business. Under his leadership, it grew steadily and successfully, eventually transitioning to his son, Greg as CEO in 2003 and Chairman in 2012. What began as a wholesale refined petroleum distributor evolved into TAC-The Arnold Companies, an enterprise with investments in real estate, retail, banking, aviation, technology, and other industries.
Anita has been an integral partner in both business and philanthropy, bringing insight and vision along with a strong commitment to community impact. Together, the Arnolds extended their leadership into banking and national organizations while remaining deeply engaged in local initiatives.
Their legacy is reflected not only in business success, but in their personal investment in people through mentorship, generosity, and a lasting dedication to Texarkana's growth.
On October 7, 2025, Texas A&M University-Texarkana honored the couple by naming both the University Center, the heartbeat of campus, and the newly established College of Business for Anita and Truman Arnold in tribute to their lasting legacy and profound commitment to the University and the region.

"Their unmatched generosity has forged a legacy that will benefit future generations of Eagles and the entire University community.”
