What to Bring
Use this list as a tool to get you started. It’s best to avoid using lists provided by stores or posted online because they often contain prohibited items. The University is not responsible for personal property damage due to loss, fire, theft, flooding, or other reasons. We recommend purchasing renter’s insurance. When in doubt, contact the Office of Residence Life by emailing housing@tamut.edu or calling 903-223-1355 if you have any questions.
What to Bring

- LED Lights (battery or plug-in)
- Lamps with USB Ports with UL rating
- Tape, Scissors, and Stapler
- Envelopes and Stamps
- Backpack, Notebooks, and Paper
- Pictures from Home
- Posters
- Indoor Plants Cleaning Supplies
- Laundry Supply
- Hygiene Products
- Towels/Shower Curtains/Liners Clothes Hangers
- Sewing Kit, Safety Pins, etc. Bedding (Twin XL)
- Mattress Cover
- Toilet Plunger
- Air Freshener
- Dish Soap and Sponge

- Microwave (provided in rooms)
- Mini Refrigerator (provided in rooms)
- Cooking/Eating Utensils
- Crockpots with a UL Rating
- Rice Cooker
- Pots and Pans (if planning to utilize kitchen in BLV or if in Modular housing)
